1. Introduction
Welcome to Poppull ("Poppull", "we", "us", or "our"), a survey-based party game
where players compete to guess the most popular answers. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect,
use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application
(the "App") and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By using Poppull, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not
use the Service.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Account information. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a unique
identifier from the provider, and (depending on your provider settings) your email address and name.
We do not receive your password.
- Profile information. A username and avatar you choose inside the App.
- Guest credentials. If you play as a guest, we generate an anonymous user ID
and a guest secret stored locally on your device so you can return to the same profile.
- Gameplay data. Answers you submit, rooms you join, matches you play, scores,
coins, gems, level, and in-game statistics.
- Communications. Messages you send to us (support requests, feedback, reports).
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device information. Operating system, device model, language, time zone,
and crash diagnostics.
- Usage data. Screens visited, features used, session duration, and approximate
region (derived from IP address — we do not collect precise GPS location).
- Identifiers. A non-persistent advertising identifier (only where permitted and only
if you have not opted out via your device settings).
2.3 Information from third parties
- Apple Sign In and Google Sign In may share an identity token,
email (sometimes a relay email), and basic profile fields with us in accordance with their policies
and your settings.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and maintain your Poppull account;
- Match you with other players and run multiplayer game sessions;
- Track your progress, level, coins, gems, and gameplay statistics;
- Personalize the Service (for example, choosing your language);
- Detect, investigate, and prevent cheating, abuse, fraud, and other prohibited activity;
- Diagnose crashes, monitor performance, and improve the Service;
- Respond to support requests and notify you of important changes; and
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
4. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA / UK users)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract — to provide the Service you have signed up for.
- Legitimate interests — to improve the Service, ensure security, and prevent abuse.
- Consent — for optional features such as analytics or marketing where required.
- Legal obligation — to comply with laws and respond to lawful requests.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited situations:
- With other players. Your username, avatar, level, and in-game stats are visible to other players you compete with.
- Service providers. Hosting, database, analytics, crash reporting, and push notification providers acting on our behalf and bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Identity providers. Apple and Google when you sign in with them.
- Legal requirements. When required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Poppull or others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.
6. Data Retention
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we
delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required
to retain it for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes. Aggregated and anonymized data may be
retained indefinitely.
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS),
hashed credentials, and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure,
and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
Poppull is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum digital-consent age in
your country, whichever is higher). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. International Data Transfers
Poppull is operated globally, and your information may be processed in countries other than where you
live. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the European Commission's Standard
Contractual Clauses) for international transfers.
10. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- Delete your account and associated data;
- Restrict or object to certain processing;
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format;
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
- Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

You can also delete your account directly from the App's settings screen.
11. Guest Accounts
When you choose Play as guest, we generate a random user ID and a "guest secret" stored only
on your device. We do not collect your name, email, or any third-party identifier. If you uninstall
the App or clear its storage without linking the account to Apple or Google, your
guest profile and progress cannot be recovered.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version with an updated
"Last updated" date and, where the changes are material, notify you in the App or by email.
